In 2019, CLAWS put theory into practice! We’ve begun our pioneering Herding Program and developed the fully automated Lion Alert System. In our Newsletter, we explore the multi-disciplinary approach necessary to develop a sustainable, holistic approach to reducing conflict, but also uplift communities who raise their in a Wildlife-Friendly approach. We’ve also begun the analysis of Wolf Scent marks in collaboration with the Wolf Conservation Center and Institute for Applied Life Sciences at UMass Amherst.
